Manuscripts should be submitted online via the submission system: OJPP Submission Portal.
Before submission, all authors must complete and sign the OJPP Manuscript Submission Form. The corresponding author will act as guarantor for the integrity of the work.
Open Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology is a peer-reviewed, open-access, online journal, publishing 2 issues per year.
Aim: Open Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology provides a platform for free exchange of high-quality research in Physiology and Pharmacology. Authors may self-archive the final accepted version in any OAI-compliant repository.
Publication in Open Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology is FREE of Charge.
Manuscripts must be submitted to one journal at a time. Simultaneous submissions will not be considered.
Initial review by Editors-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Section Editors, and Advisory Board identifies manuscripts with insufficient originality, scientific flaws, or low significance for rejection.
Manuscripts passing initial screening undergo peer review by at least two experts.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewers’ feedback. Authors are informed of acceptance, revisions, or rejection.
Average time from submission to first decision: 30–60 days.
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, plagiarism check, and PDF galley proofing.
All submissions must be original. Proper references must be provided for any extracted material.
Manuscripts are screened using iThenticate.
Suspected plagiarism triggers a notice to authors. If unresolved, Open Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology may reject the manuscript and bar authors from future submissions, reporting misconduct to the affiliated institution.
Use of published articles in media requires explicit permission from the Editor-in-Chief, coinciding with online or print publication.
Research must comply with ethical principles.
Human studies require informed consent and Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) approval. Children over 7 years must provide assent.
Animal studies must adhere to relevant national/international guidelines, including humane methods of sacrifice.
Authors must contribute substantially to:
Study conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation
Drafting and revising the manuscript
Final approval of the published version
Each author’s contribution must be described in the “Authors’ Contributions” section.
